You may notice on some of the SamePage diagrams that we have cat5 listed. Cat 5 is a type of cable used in Ethernet networks to carry large amounts of data quickly and with high signal integrity. SamePage connects to the internet through cat 5 cabling/Ethernet and each station connects to each other with Cat 5. This gives SamePage the ability to receive and send digital sheet music, syncing data and high quality digital audio. By always being connected to the internet and to each station, SamePage is a complete system for planning, displaying, and messaging. And with the optional MIX module, cat 5 is used to send and receive audio so each musician can set their own personal live mix in real-time with very little latentcy (3 ms or less). As to why you should care what cat 5 is; well if the stations weren’t connected through a high speed network, you’d have to sync each station individually and real-time audio mixing by each musician would be impossible.

Although you can turn pages simply by tapping on the screen, you may not always have a hand free. The optional three button foot pedal allows you to turn pages back and forth with a simple tap of your foot.

Yes, because the Performance Stations are connected, you can type messages and send them to each band member. You can send them to all members or just some that you select. Messages can be saved for future use so that common ones such as “Repeat Chorus” and “More Cowbell” are instantly accessed.

The messages show up as a flashing message that is easily turned off just by tapping on it.

Many times, you want to scribble some messages on the music or highlight certain areas.  It’s easy with SamePage. Simply use your finger to draw or write directly on the screen. All of your musings and highlights are saved and can be sent to all musicians instantly. We’ve even included the ability to draw squares, rectangles, circles, arrows and text in different colors for a professional look that will keep all your band members on the SamePage.

The touch screen is used to navigate through the many capabilities of the Performance Station and to be easy to use in a stage setting. No tiny knobs or minuscule buttons. And, there’s no need to find a place on stage for a mouse or keyboard.

SamePage is a complete system for planning, downloading, organizing and displaying music. And, with the addition of the optional MIX module, each musician can even adjust their own personal mix of high quality audio. Most of this functionality can be done right from the performance station simply by using the touch screen to navigate, arrange, annotate, send messages, and mix. Very convenient and useful in a live setting. Because who wants to watch a musician wrestle a mouse?

With the purchase of the optional MIX module, SamePage provides full mixing capabilities for 16 channels. The touch screen becomes a full function mixing board including EQ and PAN so each musician can fine tune their own personal mix right from their station. Each setting is saved for EACH song so they don’t have to re-adjust when moving from song to song. There’s even a “mo me” button that adds 3 dB with each press without leaving the main screen. An optional 32-channel interface allows musicians to select and mix any 16 of the available 32 channels.

Yes, but usually only if their mother is watching and withholding access to “Heroes”

All you need to do is set your team up with log in information to the website so they can see the music or you can purchase additional copies of SamePage Mobile for your team to run on their laptops.

Remember, all your music is saved and secured “in the cloud” as well as the performance station so setting your team members up with a log in gives them access while they’re away.

There’s not much SamePage can do to get them to actually practice but we’ll consider that in a future release.

You’ll lose touch with all your facebook friends and may need to actually talk to them to find out what they’re up to. Shudder.

But it’s nice to know that because your music is stored on the performance stations AND the web you’ll still have access to all your music and the show will go on. But, please, be sure to sync with the server after making significant changes  just in case you lose access through the web. Syncing is the only functionality you lose if the internet connection crashes. Everything else is there and ready. Nice to know on opening night. Now, break a leg.

Where is my music stored?

Your music library is stored both on your stations and also on our online servers.   When you make changes on the website or on the stations the data gets synchronized when your stations sync.  Do not worry about your data, we back-up 4 different ways every 15 minutes, daily and weekly.  Your music is very safe with us.

Well… we are really smart and sometimes we just sit down and just ooze smart thoughts.  No really,  first of all most of our staff are worship leaders or musicians so we are very passionate about making the best tools possible.  We have also spent a great deal of time researching the needs of musicians inside and outside of the church.  Before we sold anything we surveyed 1000 music directors at various churches. And lastly we love to get feedback from our customers and potential customers concerning features and functionality that would make our products better. Got an idea? Or have you seen something that’s really clever? Please visit our BLOG and post a comment. We love discussing cool stuff.
